Movie Night: Accepted

imageA high school slacker who’s rejected by every school he applies to opts to create his own institution of higher learning, the South Harmon Institute of Technology, on a rundown piece of property near his hometown. Starring Justin Long, Blake Lively, and Jonah Hill

The premise is that Bartleby Gaines (Justin Long; Dodgeball, Jeepers Creepers) gets declined from every college that he applies to so to escape the shame he, along with his buddies, get the genius idea to create their own one which will send him an acceptance letter just to get away from his parents. Due to a very small mishap the fake college also accepts a large amount of students who have been rejected elsewhere as well and Mr Gaines has to deal with this bunch of misfits. Blake Lively (Green Lantern, Gossip Girl) and Jonah Hill (Moneyball, Wolf of Wall Street) also star. I found this film to be a really good comedy and it was good to see Jonah Hill in one of his earlier films and his role as the voice of reason is hilariously spot on. This film is also slightly similar to one of my favourite childhood films (Camp Nowhere). If you want to watch a comedy that isn’t too intense this is the film for you.
