Guardians Of The Galaxy

Harold Ramis passes away at age 69

The star was most famous for playing Dr Egon Spengler in the 1984’s classic Ghostbusters. He passed away in the early hours of this morning. Ramis had been suffering from a rare disease called autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, which involves the swelling of the blood vessels.

As well as making his mark in the Ghostbusters franchise, he also directed time-loop comedy Groundhog Day, Analyse This and four episodes of the US version of The Office.

He started off in show business working as a joke editor for Playboy magazine, until 1974 when he joined The National Lampoon Radio Hour. He refined his natural comedic talent by writing and performing sketches alongside the likes of John Belushi and Bill Murray.

This followed on to his collaboration with Ivan Reitman on National Lampoon’s Animal House, which led to a professional relationship that saw Ramis working with Reitman and Murray on Meatballs, Stripes and Ghostbusters.

Our thoughts go out to his family at this difficult time.

Her is a movie that depicts a man who falls in love with Samantha, the operating system which helps him go through life, a Siri-like experience voiced by the sultry and sexy Scarlett Johansson. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Pratt.

A New York Winter’s Tale is a beautiful story about magic, miracles and obviously love starring Colin Farrell and Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay with the official new baddie Russell Crowe. Colin Farrell plays a burglar who falls for a heiress as she dies in his arms. When he learns that he has the gift of reincarnation, he sets out to save her.  Starring Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay and Russell Crowe.
